Interactive Community Art Project
I designed an interactive community art project to host throughout the duration of an art exhibition I curated. My thoughts were to keep the project simple enough so the general public would not be deterred, and consider the wide range of audiences I wanted to appeal to. This was an all-ages activity where the participant was to write what happiness is to them. The participants could leave the note anonymous or add their signature. The objective was to help the community foster an understanding for one another amongst times of ignorance in our world. When thought of, happiness is a vague term that can mean similar things to everyone. Once you break beneath the surface, I learned happiness also has some very specific meanings depending on the person. I created a zine out of the compilation of notes, so the public can engage with each others differences and likenesses.
